Cade had his six month appointment last week. He is doing "terrific" as his Doctor wrote in his little book. He weighed in at 17 lbs 12 oz and measured at 27 3/8" long. That's three inches in two months. He is catching up for sure! He is now in the 55 Percentile for his weight and head and in the 80% for his height. He had to get four shots (one orally) this appointment. Because he's a lot more vocal in general, he seemed to cry more this time. He had a mild fever and a difficult time sleeping that night but was back to his cheerful happy self the next day. He won't go back in for three months to see his doctor but she recommended that he have both the seasonal flu shot and the shot for H1N1. So we'll go back in October for the first one.Cade started eating baby foods other than rice cereal a few weeks ago. He seems to really like carrots but he's not a big fan of green beans and he's not sure about fruits yet (too tart.) He likes oatmeal over rice cereal and he tends to give the biggest smiles when I'm feeding him. His very first veggie was squash . . .

He is definitely one to get into things and already test the limits. Whenever he is playing on the floor, he sets his eyes on something and rolls until he gets there. Hasn't quite figured out that it'd be easier to crawl but he's getting closer. He sticks his butt up in the air but then rolls to his back. Cade is also sitting up steadier and for longer amounts of time. We moved him to front facing strollers and he loves going for walks now. He can see where we are going and feel the breeze. I think he feels like a big boy now.
