Hello Third Trimester!

We are officially 28 weeks along.  Last week was a bit exciting.  Monday morning I went in for my regular doctor's appointment.  My scheduled glucose test was postponed to later in the week because the lab tech was out sick.  But her heart rate and measurements were right on track.  Then we had a bit of a scare on Wednesday morning and ended up at the Birthing Center for testing.  Everything came back normal and I was released to go home.  I just have to take it easy and refrain from pelvic activity.  On a good note, part of the tests included another ultrasound and they confirmed the baby is still a girl!  We also got a better look at her face and her cute chubby cheeks. 
This ultrasound picture is looking at her balled up hands, her open mouth, her nose and her eye sockets.  She was moving her tongue in and out and practicing chewing.  We also got to watch her start to use her lungs.  What a miracle to be able to see her strong heart, her long limbs and then her little lungs.  The technician calculated that she is already 2.5 pounds!  We are still trying to decide on a name but this was a wake up call that she is actually coming.  Only 8 to 12 weeks before we'll be holding her in our arms.
